How do I place an order?
Browse our products, click "Add to Cart" on items you want, then click the cart icon and select "Checkout." You can create an account or checkout as a guest. Follow the prompts to enter shipping information and payment details to complete your purchase.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. All payments are processed securely through encrypted connections.
Is it safe to enter my credit card information?
Yes. We use industry-standard SSL encryption to protect your payment information. We never store complete credit card numbers on our servers. All transactions are processed through secure payment gateways.
Can I use multiple discount codes on one order?
No, only one discount code can be applied per order. If you have multiple codes, use the one that provides the greatest savings.
Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
Orders can be cancelled or modified within 2 hours of placement by contacting us immediately. After that, orders enter our processing system and cannot be changed. You can return items once received if needed.
Will I receive an order confirmation?
Yes. You'll receive an email confirmation immediately after placing your order with your order number and details. If you don't see it, check your spam folder or contact us.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and items ordered. We offer free standard shipping on orders over $100 within the continental United States.
How long will shipping take?
Standard shipping typically takes 3-10 business days after the order is processed (1-2 business days). Expedited shipping options (2-5 day and overnight) are available at checkout for faster delivery.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with a tracking number and link. You can also log into your account and view tracking information in your order history.
My tracking hasn't updated in several days. Is that normal?
Sometimes carriers don't scan packages at every checkpoint. If tracking shows no movement for 3-4 days, or if delivery is significantly delayed past the estimated date, contact us and we'll investigate with the carrier.
What if my package shows delivered but I didn't receive it?
First, check around your property (front porch, side door, mailbox area) and ask neighbors if they received it by mistake. Confirm the delivery address was correct. If you still cannot locate it after 24 hours, contact us and we'll file a claim with the carrier.
What is your return policy?
Love It or Return It. We stand by our products. If you're not completely happy, you have 28 days from delivery to send it back for a refund, just make sure it's in its original condition with all packaging and accessories.
How do I start a return?
Contact our support team at hello@coophabitats.com with your order number and reason for return. We'll provide a return authorization number and instructions. Do not ship items back without authorization.
What if my item arrives damaged or defective?
Contact us immediately (within 24 hours of delivery) with photos of the damage. Do not discard the packaging. We'll arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.
Where can I find instruction manuals?
Instruction manuals are included with your product shipment. Digital copies are available by contacting support.
My automatic chicken coop door isn't opening/closing. What should I check?
Troubleshooting steps:
- Check battery level in the app or on the display
- Verify WiFi connection is stable
- Ensure the door track is clear of bedding, debris, or ice
- Check that the door isn't obstructed
- Try a manual open/close command via the app
- Restart the unit by unplugging for 10 minutes
How do I connect my smart device to WiFi?
- Download the companion app (link in product manual)
- Ensure your WiFi is 2.4GHz (most smart devices don't support 5GHz)
- Position the device within good WiFi range
- Follow the in-app pairing instructions
- Contact support if you experience connection issues
My solar panel isn't charging the battery. What's wrong?
Check that:
- Solar panel is positioned in direct sunlight (not shaded)
- Panel surface is clean and free of debris
- Connections are secure and not corroded
- Battery isn't completely dead (may need manual USB charge to restart)
- Unit hasn't been in prolonged shade (charge via USB and reposition)
My feeder's gravity flow isn't working. How do I fix it?
Try these solutions:
- Tap or shake the feeder gently to dislodge compacted feed
- Check that feed isn't wet or clumped (wet feed doesn't flow)
- Ensure feeding ports aren't blocked by debris
- Switch to pellets if using very fine mash or powder
- Remove the lid and manually stir feed to restart flow
My heater isn't warming up. What should I check?
Verify:
- Unit is plugged in and outlet has power
- Power cord isn't damaged (especially peck-resistant sections)
- Unit is turned on via remote or control panel
- Temperature setting is appropriate (not at minimum)
- Overheat protection hasn't been triggered (unplug 10 minutes, then restart)
Contact support if the heater still doesn't function.
I'm new to chickens. What equipment do I absolutely need?
Essential equipment includes:
- Secure coop or housing
- Feeder (sized for your flock)
- Waterer (1 gallon per 4-6 hens)
- Nesting boxes (1 per 3-4 hens)
- Bedding material
- Quality chicken feed
- Roosting bars
How much feed do chickens eat?
An average laying hen eats approximately ¼ pound of feed daily, or about 1.75 pounds per week. Larger breeds eat more, smaller breeds eat less. Adjust based on your specific flock.
What temperature is safe for chickens?
Healthy adult chickens tolerate 0°F to 95°F well if the coop is draft-free and well-ventilated. Supplemental heat helps in extreme cold (below 0°F). Shade and ventilation are critical in heat above 95°F.
How many chickens can I keep?
Check local regulations first (many cities have limits). Generally, provide 3-4 square feet of coop space per chicken and 8-10 square feet of outdoor run space per chicken for healthy, happy birds.
When do chickens start laying eggs?
Most hens begin laying around 18-24 weeks of age (4-6 months), depending on breed. Production peaks in their first 1-2 years and gradually declines with age.
Do I need a rooster for hens to lay eggs?
No. Hens lay eggs without a rooster. You only need a rooster if you want fertilized eggs for hatching chicks.
