28-Day Return Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not happy with your Shelter Pro Chicken Coop, you can return it within 28 days of delivery.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must:

  • Be returned within 28 days of delivery date
  • Be unused and in original condition
  • Include all original packaging, parts, and accessories
  • Include proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned:

  • Used or assembled products showing signs of wear
  • Items damaged due to misuse or improper assembly
  • Products without original packaging
  • Clearance or final sale items (if marked as such)

How to Initiate a Return

Step 1: Contact our customer service team

Step 2: Provide your order number and reason for return

Step 3: We will send you return instructions and a return authorization number

Step 4: Pack the item securely in its original packaging

Step 5: Ship the item back to the address provided

Return Shipping Costs

  • Defective or damaged items: We cover return shipping costs
  • Change of mind returns: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • Refused delivery: Customer is responsible for return shipping and any restocking fees

Refund Process

Refund Timeline

Once we receive your returned item:

  1. Inspection: We inspect the returned product (typically 3-5 business days)
  2. Approval: If approved, your refund is processed
  3. Refund issued: Within 14 business days after we receive your return

Refund Method

Refunds are issued to your original payment method:

  • Credit/debit card
  • PayPal
  • Other original payment method

Note: Depending on your financial institution, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued if:

  • Item shows signs of use
  • Item is missing parts or accessories
  • Item is not in original condition

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

Step 1: Contact us immediately at hello@coophabitats.com

Step 2: Provide photos of the damage or defect

Step 3: We will either:

  • Send replacement parts at no charge
  • Arrange a full replacement
  • Issue a full refund including return shipping

Order Cancellations

Before Shipping

If your order has not yet shipped, you may cancel for a full refund. Contact us as soon as possible.

After Shipping

Once shipped, the standard return policy applies. You must receive the item and return it within 28 days.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different item:

  1. Return your original item following our return process
  2. Place a new order for the item you want

Restocking Fees

  • Standard returns: No restocking fee
  • Large items returned without original packaging: May incur a 15% restocking fee
  • Refused deliveries: May incur a 15% restocking fee plus return shipping costs
